Serikkali Brekeshev, Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources, noted at a meeting of producers and consumers to review scrap rates that Kazakhstanis were paid up to 2 millions tenge for each unit of old agricultural equipment, Standard.kz reported.
“In order to stimulate the population to hand over vehicles that have been out of service, since 2016, 3.3 thousand self-propelled agricultural machinery that have been out of service have been collected. When the population returns equipment, the face value of the discount certificate ranges from KZT560,000 to KZT2 million, depending on the type and configuration of the equipment,” Brekeshev said at a meeting of manufacturers and consumers to review salvage rates.
According to him, the recycling fee for agricultural machinery - tractors, combines - has been introduced since 2019.
The salvage fee rates are established by order of the MEGNR RK on the basis of calculations submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
"According to the MIIR, the waste collection is introduced to replace 80% of equipment that is outdated, to create a full-fledged system for the disposal and disposal of obsolete equipment", the minister noted.
During the meeting, a proposal was made to make the size of the waste collection dependent on the degree of localization in the production of this type of equipment in Kazakhstan. Brekeshev supported this proposal.
