Founder of the portal and goals of activity
Public Association “Kazakhstan Organization for Quality and Innovative Management” (here in after referred to as the Association) was established in September 2002. In 2022, the Association will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Informational and analytical Internet portal "Sapaly Kazakhstan" / "Quality Kazakhstan" (STANDARD.KZ), is an officially registered mass media (No. KZ96VPY00034094, issue date 07.04.2021), dedicated to topical quality problems in all its many aspects.
About the Association
KOKIM is a non-profit, non-governmental public organization operating in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Associations". The goal of the Association is to help for the improvement of the quality of life of the population by combining the efforts of heads of various government organizations, enterprises of large, medium and small businesses, as well as specialists for the successful application of modern achievements in the field of quality management and Business Excellence Models. Since its inception, the Association has been successfully working to promote the best domestic and world experience in the field of quality management, increasing competitiveness and achieving leadership in various areas of business. We pay attention to both coverage and negative facts taking place in our country, which do not correspond to modern norms of behavior of people and business in the field of achieving a high quality of life.
Association activities
For many years, the Association, in cooperation with NPP "Atmeken", has been participating in training participants in the competition for the Presidential Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Altyn Sapa", and the President of the Association, prof. Azat Abdrakhmanov is a member of the Republican Expert Commission of the "Altyn Sapa" competition. Among the main tasks of the Association over the years of its activity were and are: studying the best international experience in the field of implementation and improvement of management systems. To this end, since 2002, KOKIM has organized more than 50 international scientific and practical conferences, forums in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation with the invitation of world-renowned scientists and experts in the field of quality management. During this period, more than 50 international professionals, authors of best-selling books in the field of quality management, took part as speakers at these events. Among them were Noriaki Kano, Yoshinori Yisuki, (Japan), Gregory Watson (USA), Mohamed Zairi (UK), Janak Mehta (India), Wan Seon Shin (South Korea), etc.
Our activity in a pandemic
In the time of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, KOKIM continues to conduct various events aimed at spreading ideas and knowledge in the field of quality management, environmental management, industrial safety and Models of Excellence through online conferences and online trainings. The Association actively participates in the work of numerous international Congresses, Forums and panel sessions held online.
International activity
In the period from 2006 to 2011, KOKIM organized many outdoor events for more than 300 heads of Kazakh, Russian and Uzbek national companies of enterprises in economically developed countries of the world, such as Japan, China, Singapore, France, Italy, Spain, etc. to get acquainted with the best experience in the development of quality management. During the visit, the participants of overseas seminars visited such enterprises as Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi (Japan), Shanghai Oil Refinery (China), Science and Technology Parks in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, logistics centers in Thailand, automobile factories "Ferrari", "Lamborghini" (Italy), "BMW" (Germany), Kempien International University (France), etc.
Participation in international projects
Since 2018, Azat Abdrakhmanov ,professor, association president has been participating in the work of the International Jury to assess the activities of public administration organizations of this country annually by the invitation of the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He is a Board Member and Honored Director of the Asian Quality Network (anforq.org).
The Association carries out active international cooperation, being a National Partner of the European Organization for Quality (eoq.org), the Asian Network for Quality (anforq.org), as well as a National Partner, a certified training center (EFQM Certified Training Organization) and a certified assessment (EFQM Certified Recognition Organization) of the European Foundation for Quality Management (efqm .org). The Association has been successfully cooperating for many years with the Global Benchmarking Network and the International Project Quality Innovation of the Year.
Information activities
From the first days of its creation, the Association paid great attention to information and analytical activities in the field of quality management. A great contribution to information support in the field of quality management was made by the "World of Quality" newspaper, founded in September 2002 and published until 2020. During this time, the newspaper has successfully occupied its niche in the information space not only in Kazakhstan, but among the Russian-language editions of the CIS countries. In 2021, the newspaper passed the baton to the information and analytical portal "Sapaly Kazakhstan / Qualitative Kazakhstan", which should become a convenient platform for the exchange of information, the best experience among specialists.
