Bureau of National Statistics: demand for apartments in Kazakhstan increased by 40%

February in Kazakhstan showed a high demand for housing. Kazakhstanis concluded 46,577 transactions. This is 39.6% more than in January, Standard.kz reports with reference to the data of the Bureau of National Statistics and Krysha.kz.

The figure is close to the figures of last year, when the pension campaign was in full swing. In summer and autumn, the number of transactions varied from 44,000 to 46,000. Let us note that before the removal of pensions, an average of 20,000–25,000 transactions were concluded in Kazakhstan.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the maximum increase in transactions was recorded in Almaty region (+58.5%), Almaty (+56.8%), Karaganda region (+49.1%).

At the same time, Shymkent is the only region with negative dynamics: -1.7%. In the rest - a stable growth of 20-40%. Of the 46,577 transactions, 34,819 were for apartments and 11,758 for private houses.
