Who are infogypsies and how not to fall for their bait?

Who are infogypsies, and how do they deceive gullible people on the Internet? What to do in order not to fall for their bait and not lose your money? Internet marketer Svetlana Korshikova told Standard.kz about this.

Infogypsyism cannot be called something new - in fact, it is a money scam that migrated to the Internet. It usually looks like this: a profile on Instagram or a Telegram channel, where a successful young businessman shows off his wealth. In between, he constantly reminds that he earned it all thanks to good investments or a unique model for doing business with other people.

Infogypsies are a special caste of "coaches" who will teach you everything at once. So they called the sellers of all kinds of super courses, which obviously guarantee you a resounding success. These are people who sell courses, trainings, books and other educational materials that do not carry any real value. Infogypsies themselves can define themselves as infobusinessmen, business coaches, coaches, motivators, and so on.

To attract clients, infogypsies like to talk about their own successes and the achievements of their students. Photos next to expensive sports cars and yachts or bragging about trips to luxury resorts are indispensable attributes of such people's posts on social networks.

For a small (and sometimes large!) fee, the infogypsies promise to reveal the secret of a luxurious life. True, it usually turns out that there was no secret, no success. And the only thing these “businessmen” want is to make more money faster, until the customers realize that they are being deceived.

They tend to be assertive and aggressive. Among the methods is targeted advertising in social networks. Infogypsies persistently ask you to be friends, and then send spam on a huge scale with offers of quick money courses.

The favorite topics of infogypsies are personal growth and learning how to sell without investment.

Infogypsies can operate not only on the Internet, but also hold various events offline - various conferences, trainings and the like. For them, this is a great additional income, since visitors have to pay decent money for entry.

The projects owned by infogypsies are very similar in principle. These are public, where the number of subscribers is 500 - 10,000 people. Everything here is built in such a way as to bring a person to a purchase. This is a colorful block with a product and a super favorable price, a block with rave reviews, a bunch of pictures or videos with promises of speedy success and a better life, motivating calls and stories, links to a personal page and website.
