For what reasons can Kazakh citizens be denied a mortgage?

Executive Director of the First Credit Bureau Asem Nurgaliyeva explained what parameters banks take into account when making decisions on issuing a mortgage loan, Standard.kz reported.

"The level of income and a positive credit history are the main, but not the only factors for approval. Banks actually have a lot of different parameters by which they evaluate a client. Up to the connection of this borrower with some other borrower who has a delay Therefore, there are a number of internal factors in the bank that influence the decision.

Each financial institution has a scoring system. Only a few people in the bank know about it, it is automated, and there is no access to it. No one can say how it is formed.

Of course, there are general parameters: for example, the debt burden ratio, the entire amount of loan payments, the upcoming loan payment should not exceed 50% of the borrowers' income.

Nevertheless, now banks are trying to be loyal, because there are few customers. After all, we have only nine million economically active population. But at the same time there are very clear requirements,” she concluded.

How potential borrowers are screened
For each borrower who applied to the bank, a scoring score is formed, and this score will mean the probability with which the borrower will repay the loan. They look at the current delay, at the number of existing contracts, at the level of income, even at the date of the beginning of the formation of a credit history.
