Kazakhstanis will be able to save their utility costs

During the period of the moratorium on the increase in utility tariffs, the population will save more than 3.2 billions tenge. This was reported by the press service of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy, Standard.kz reports.

On behalf of the president, there is now a moratorium on raising tariffs for regulated public services for the population - water supply, sanitation, electricity, heat and gas.

It is reported that the Committee has carried out work to contain tariffs for the population at the level of December 2021 for a period of 180 days. The tariffs of 103 monopoly entities were adjusted to the level of December 2021.

"The population will save 3 billion 192.6 millions tenge from this, including in the following areas:

heat supply - 1,442 million tenge;
electricity supply - 839.7 million tenge;
water supply - 367.6 million tenge;
water disposal - 224.6 million tenge;
gas supply - 318.7 million tenge," the Committee explained.
