The functional card of Sberbank in Kazakhstan will be cut. Payment by Sbera cards will not be available in the network of other banks, except that customers will not be able to withdraw money from ATMs of other banks and transfer funds to the cards of other banks.

Restrictions will start valid from March 18 for Mastercard and from March 20 for Visa.

"We do not interrupt relations with our partners and hope for the speedy restoration of services," the bank said.

It is emphasized that Sberbank Visa and Mastercard cards do not cease to work completely, only limited to functionality. Cards will continue to work in the network of Sberbank. Will be available:

payment at POS-terminals of Sberbank;

receipt of cash in ATMs of Sberbank;

payment for services in a mobile application.

Clients can also submit applications on the opening of payment cards "World" and Chinese UnionPay.

Sberbank in Kazakhstan has the third largest network of ATMs and 110 bank branches. On February 1, 2022, Sberbank's division took the second place in the republic in terms of assets among all Kazakh banks.
