EEC employees will be held liable for disclosure of confidential information

The amendments provide for liability for disclosure of information - from administrative to criminal, Standard.kz reports.

The deputies of the Mazhilis approved and sent to the Senate amendments to the Agreement on the Procedure for Protecting Confidential Information and Responsibility for its Disclosure in the Exercise of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Powers to Monitor Compliance with Uniform Competition Rules.

Serik Zhumangarin, Chairman of the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of Kazakhstan, said that almost 10 years have passed since the formation of the Eurasian Economic Commission as a permanent regulatory body of the EAEU. During this period, favorable conditions have been provided for the EAEU member states for the functioning of a unified policy in terms of improving antimonopoly legislation.
