The Sanitary Service monitors the safety of socially significant products in Almaty

In Kazakhstan's food security legislation, socially significant food products are defined as "food products that provide for meeting the needs of the human body for basic nutrients and energy to maintain an active and healthy life, the list of which is approved by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

The legislation provides for state monitoring of prices for socially significant food products.

In order to protect public health and the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, specialists of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Auezov district of Almaty in January 2022 organized the purchase of socially significant food products at two trade enterprises.
