Kazhydromet named the most polluted areas of Kazakhstani cities, Standard.kz reports with reference to Tengrinews.kz.
From March 1 to March 7, 2022, specialists measured the quality of atmospheric air in major cities of the country. During this period, the following indications were recorded:
in Nur-Sultan, the maximum permissible concentrations were exceeded 786 times, the air of the city is most polluted in the areas of Baitursynov Street;
in Almaty 367 times the MPC was exceeded, the air of the city is most polluted in the Turksib district;
in Atyrau, 42 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air is most polluted in the area of Syrdarya street, house 3;
in Karaganda, 809 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the area of 3rd Kochegarka Street (Prishakhtinsk);
in Zhezkazgan, 178 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the area of M. Zhamilya street, house 4B;
in Ust-Kamenogorsk, 16 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the area of Piterskikh Kommunarov Street;
in Pavlodar, three cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the area of Kazakhstanskaya Pravda Street;
in Shymkent, 98 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the Nursat microdistrict;
in Aktobe, 30 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the area of Ryskulov Street;
in Kyzylorda, 10 cases of exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations were recorded, the air of the city is most polluted in the area of Berdenov street.
